Extreme Remodeling

Being in real estate I have been able to see "good deals" the day they are listed and put in MLS and have been lucky enough to snag some great properties to have a rentals. Never much on flipping, I have renovated, updated, fixed up and rented out houses for the past few years. All of this has been on a small scale in comparison to this new endeavor!

I've been on the hunt for a waterfront house to remodel for probably a year and finally the day came I found one just listed in a great neighborhood and got in under contract within 24 hours of it being listed! On the flip side to it being a great buy, it was built in 1967 and not much has changed since that day...until now.

In the past two week we have done A LOT of damage to this 2,600 SF, canal front house!

Here are some before and current pictures. This house is an old ranch style house and in the shape of an "L". Everything has been torn out and it is now down to the studs and you can see all through the house. I've been meeting with an architect and he has come up with some great ideas; enclosing the garage to make a new master bedroom, moving the laundry room, adding a butler's pantry and much more!

What did we ever do before pinterest?! I've pinned so many ideas for bathrooms, cabinets, vanities, tile, etc. and I can't wait to watch this all come together!! My absolute favorite feature of this home is that the ceilings are vaulted in the kitchen/living, den, and garage...for such an old house this came as quite a surprise! An old home like this would typically have 8/9 ft. ceilings.

Stay tuned for many more before & after updates!
