Fall DIY Table
One of the things I find very difficult is to a) decorate for Halloween (just not my holiday) and b) actually take the time to decorate for Thanksgiving instead of just jumping straight to Christmas. Currently there is someone at my house decorating the front door for Christmas! (we can blame that on scheduling and not a lack of appreciation for Thanksgiving aka: my second favorite holiday)
When I was wedding planning, I was very adamant, NO eucalyptus in any floral arrangements and look at me now, loving silver dollar eucalyptus. I know very little about eucalyptus but it just screams fall to me, it blends so well with pumpkins and especially the pastel green and orange pumpkins that have been popular at pumpkin patches this year.
I've had these hammered metal vases for a year or so now but they still sell them at Hobby Lobby. I put cups of water in the vases to keep the eucalyptus alive and really have enjoyed this on my island in the kitchen. The footed tray that the pumpkins, gourds and squash are sitting in is from my every day China collection I received as a wedding gift but any tray would look great filled with these items, even a wooden or metal tray.
This is a super easy D.I.Y. project to add to your Thanksgiving & fall "tablescape" and you don't even have to have real pumpkins like I do to make this look great! The eucalyptus is real so it does require some TLC after you decorate but besides this is a carefree Fall centerpiece!
