Happy New Year friends! It's safe to say everyone is hoping (praying) for a better year in 2019! While I don't really want to make New Year RESOLUTIONS...I do want to make some conscience efforts to improve some aspects of life, as do most of you reading this I'm sure. So while I'm typing this I have black eyed peas in the crockpot, spinach thawing (yes I buy frozen) and have a ham thawing for dinner tonight. I really want to focus on health and happiness for 2019.

Here are some things I want to do better at in 2019:

1) I don't exercise, at all. I'm what you would call skinny fat, haha! But I do want to at least start walking and putting all my exercise clothes to use for something other than going to Publix.

2) Eat more beans. I say this often, I would really love to cut back on so much meat. I am constantly looking for good bean recipes on pinterest. I've attempted meatless Mondays before and will try again.

3) Make more SOUPS. I've played around with soups before and it's honestly quite easy. Canned veggies + tomato sauce + noodles = deliciousness.

3) ORGANIZATION. This is where I lack the absolute most. I need a planner & to write down things. I forget, EVERYTHING. I'll be on the hunt for a good planner soon.

4) I know I won't start reading more books so I'm not even going to write that down...

5) THIS <-- great link to a Forbes article for resolutions to help you this upcoming year. Worth the read!

6) Have more friends/family over for dinner, bonfires, drinks or just to watch tv (and play guitar hero). Hosting is so much fun for me.

7) Try a new recipe every week. I have so many great cookbooks and I never venture out because I'm always last minute throwing dinner together. I do cook dinner atleast 3/4 nights per week, so I have plenty of time to focus on trying new things.

8) Take better care of my skin. I've started using Drunk Elephant products but I really want to try Tula. Stay tuned for some insight. Everyone I know who has invested in Drunk Elephant products can tell the difference in their skin. I'm not going to stop botox but I'm hoping to have more glowing skin and decrease my breakouts along my chin.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Hope you all have a wonderful 2019!!!
