Remodeling

We have been living in a construction zone for almost 3 months now, so I figured it was time to share some pictures of what I'm hoping the house will look like when we're done.

I have a very specific idea in mind and surprisingly I can't find any good pictures on Houzz or Pinterest that really show what I'm wanting. The house is brick already so to match the addition and the garage we will paint the brick white.

I have learned so much about windows this past month, if you have any window questions I am full of knowledge right now. Even after building from ground up and remodeling before this, I never knew as much as I do now (or had to do so much research). I'm adamant about having black grills on the windows, but most windows only have the color grill on the exterior side and the interior side of the window has white or beige, who knew? Following that its casement, double hung, single hung...I went with double hung because they look bolder and casement (I'm told) is the most likely to leak because of the way they hang. I love the picture above with the black colonial windows in the white kitchen.

I'm on bathroom remodel #2 right now so we are making progress on the inside of the existing house in the mean time though. (Bathroom #1 remodel pictures below) I blogged about this a few months ago if you want to go back and read the post with before and after photos --> HERE

And currently work is being done on this pretty half bath, the fixtures will be brass and black granite on the vanity.

I'll keep posting updates along the way, especially in the master bedroom addition!

Have a great Sunday!
