Work Casual

I always find it interesting how work attire has gotten more and more casual throughout the years. I see pictures of my mom and grandmother working in real estate in the 80’s in nice business suits, long skirts, blazers, etc. I have been selling real estate for 9 years now and I MAY have worn a few blazers because they’re trendy but never a long skirt nor a matching jacket/skirt suit set. Unless you work in a bank or an accounting office, it seems most work settings have gotten very casual. I'm sure there is some productivity/being comfortable research that has been done to and lead to this but I'll take it.
Booties are an easy way to add style to a plain outfit, they give you a little more height than a flat and as much as we all hate heels, they do make you look better. (eye roll).
Jeans; this can be tricky. You have to find a dressier style jean to pull this off if your office dress code is on the fence with jeans/slacks. The key is to find a high waisted jean, don't walk in with Britney Spears 2 inch zipper jeans. (what were we all thinking?!?) These are some great high waisted jeans that can look great on any body type. PS: no rips/holes in your jeans for the office! Don't forget black jeans are great too! Below are my favorite jeans that I wear all the time!
A long cardigan isn't always the answer but I do like this specific one because the neck has a little definition and squares off, it's a nice touch instead of just a slouchy long sweater. This sweater is from a company I hadn't tried before and I really love the quality of it.
Remember! Work style doesn't have to be boring or uncomfortable!
