Miami is always a good idea!

Summer has flown by! From traveling to birthdays, things have been busy for the past two months! But ending the summer with a trip to Miami was much needed! I've been to Miami every summer for a few years and it's one of my favorite places to visit, the food is wonderful yet the heat is miserable! And it's no secret I'm a sucker for good food!

Last summer we stayed in South Beach so the change to Coconut Grove was nice, less crowded and less touristy. I am probably one of the few Americans whose yet to download UBER so the cab rides do add up. Maybe one day I'll actually do it! (I've been in Atlanta on NYE stuck in a sketchy area because no cabs were out and I didn't have Uber.)

I've never been to the Everglades so we drove there our first day to do an airboat tour. It was not what I expected at all and I'm so glad we had the opportunity to go through and see this huge national park!

The second night there we had dinner at Il Gabbiano's. It was fine Italian dining with outside seating overlooking the Miami South Channel. The breeze outside was just right! Side note, I had to google almost every item on the menu, my italian is definitely sub par! I had the special that night, Mushroom Ravioli, naturally it was the best I had ever had! And to finish the meal off was limoncello & tiramisu!

What is a trip to Miami without visiting South Beach and my sweet friend Jordanne at her restaurant, Lucali. Last year was our first time to Lucali and it is a must! Authentic brick oven pizza, artichoke hearts for an appetizer, and the absolutely best drink I have ever had. I can't stop raving about the Basil infused Tito's drink they made! I can't wait to miserably fail at attempting to make it at home.

I don't know how I've never been to Wynwood Walls before. I've been missing out on an amazing place. Jordanne told us to stop by and wow we were in for a treat. The heat was KILLER again, but worth it! It took about an hour to walk and look around but I recommend everyone stopping by atleast for a little while, the talent these artists have is amazing!

Finishing up the trip we saw Guns N Roses in Orlando!
